AWS is seeking systems analysts to own and advance a mission critical service in our Dedicated Clouds (ADC).

This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon’s engineering team supporting our Non-Relational Database Services in Seattle, WA, Arlington, VA (HQ2), Herndon, VA or Denver, CO. This role will pair you with some of our brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career.

Amazon Web Service is building some of the largest distributed systems in the world. Amazon’s non-relational database offerings like DynamoDB, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, Managed Blockchain, Neptune, and Timestream are massively scaled services that make up a critical piece of our customers’ solutions.

In this role, the candidate will support AWS engineering and operations in Amazon Dedicated Clouds by completing activities, such as
· Troubleshooting Linux systems, networks, and/or configuration related issues
· Monitoring and maintaining system health and status
· Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
· Writing after-action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans.
· Providing oncall support when necessary.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements. A Day 1 start is contingent on a successful clearance crossover.

This position can be located in either Herndon, VA, Arlington, VA, Denver, CO, or Seattle, WA.

Arlington, VA: This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Our employees and the neighboring community will also benefit from the associated investments from the Commonwealth including infrastructure updates, public transportation improvements, and new access to Reagan National Airport.

This position starts at $57,300 annual base salary only. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of systems administration experience (Linux)
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
· Troubleshooting/Support experience
· Strong sense of ownership and urgency

· Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of Linux proficiency and demonstrated proficiency with associated tools/languages, Or 2+ years windows server/enterprise
· 1+ years of experience with mission critical, 24×7 operations
· 1+ years experience with support procedures for production/mission critical environments to include ticketing, monitoring/metrics, and troubleshooting technical issues.

· Industry Relevant Certifications (Linux+, LPIC-1)

This position starts at $57,300 -100,300 annual base salary only.
