This position will assist in the planning, development and implementation of comprehensive air service and route development strategies and initiatives to include:

  • Analyzing air service data, trends and opportunities (e.g., airline schedules, passenger demand data, etc.).
  • Monitoring aviation industry news and impact on DEN air service.
  • Producing and updating routine air service reports and maps.
  • Translating air service data and trends for various target audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development of air service business cases to retain and recruit air service.
  • Serving as primary air service contact with DEN’s marketing and communications team to manage initiatives including website content, social media, development of newsletters and marketing materials to support air service retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Managing the promotion of air service milestones (e.g., inaugurals, anniversaries) to include event coordination and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

We are looking for candidates for some or all the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledgeable air service professional to join our team and help grow air service in Denver.
  • We need someone with an interest and knowledge around market trends, economic conditions and airline business models.
  • Exceptional communication, written and verbal, with both internal and external stakeholders, and a strong attention to detail.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a related field
  • Three or more years’ experience in air service development including passenger and cargo services
  • Air transportation data collection and reporting standards
  • Experience with the following data sets; Airline Schedules; U.S. DOT T100, O&D Survey and Form 41; International Passenger Demand (e.g., FMTraffic and Sabre/MIDT)
  • Air carrier operating models, route structures and alliances
  • Aircraft performance and airport operational capabilities
  • Research methods and analysis techniques
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using data analytics/visualization tools (DEN uses Power BI)
  • Global aviation industry knowledge

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative, management, and operational analysis work which must have included analyzing management problems and recommending solutions and implementation strategies.
  • Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
